Black Cypress Teacore | Cap Toe

THE LEATHER

Cypress is a newer tannage from Chicago's Horween Tannery, taking elements we love from their Dublin and Predator leathers. Cypress is combination tanned, with a heavy vegetable retan process. Cut at a full 6 ounces, these boots are obviously substantial, but subtleties in the tanning make for a shortened break-in time.

In terms of the color, Black Cypress Teacore is a black leather, with a tan or tea-colored core that with heavy, long-term wear will be revealed in places of friction. This leather is tanned so that it may evolve and burnish over time, taking all the missteps and stubbed toes with grace.
